The Pan Pacific Welcomes new Director of Sales: Brent Lavery
The Pan Pacific is pleased to announce its latest member of the team and the new Director of Sales, Brent Lavery.
Brent just recently made his way back west from Ottawa, Ontario to join the hotel.
Despite his most recent move, Brent is no stranger to British Columbia – Brent used to live in Vancouver in the early 90’s where he met his wife and crafted his professional career in sales.
Brent brings a fresh take on sales to the Pan Pacific with experience working across Canada and his first-priority approach towards customer service.
I caught up with Brent yesterday for a quick chat on how he likes his new (old) city and what his take is on working for the Pan Pacific Vancouver:
How have you found your latest transition from Ottawa to Vancouver?
I’m lovin’ it! It’s been a very smooth transition for me since I know the city so well and have spent many years here. Also trading away a few feet of snow every winter is also huge perk! My wife and 2 teenagers are quite excited to be in a new city, so this should be fun!
What is your favorite thing about living in Vancouver?
Location, Location Location! – Where else in the world can I snowboard, sail and go hiking all in the same season. Vancouver is a remarkable city as proven by our most recent Winter Olympics and is officially known as one of the top 5 cities in the world.
For me, this is the best place on earth and I’m glad to be back in the place I call home!
And what are you looking forward to the most?
A chance to go snowboarding with my kids! Even though there’s tons of snow back in Ottawa, there aren’t that many great places to board. With Cyprus, Seymour and Grouse Mountain all close by (and Whistler just North), I know I’ll get some great runs in this year!
What do you think makes the Pan Pacific so special?
Again – Location, Location, Location! The hotel is located right on the waterfront and smack in the middle of Downtown. With great neighbours like the Vancouver Convention Center and Canada Place – this is one of the premier hotels in the country.
With a priority on customer service and pleasing our guests at all costs, I believe this creates a winning combination in choosing a hotel.
As the new Director of Sales, what do you plan to bring to the Team?
When you have a great product, sales is simply an education process, and that’s what I’m here to do – educate and inform the world of what a great hotel destination the Pan Pacific Vancouver is.
I really look forward to connecting with our existing as well as potentially new clients – because I know they will fall in love with our hotel!
