World Kidney Day: Kidney Smart Restaurant Campaign
From March 10 – April 12, the Pan Pacific Vancouver will be participating in Tourism Vancouver and BC Renal Agency’s Kidney Smart Restaurant Campaign.
The Restaurant campaign is being launched on March 10 – World Kidney Day.
World Kidney Day’s aim is to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide.
At the Café Pacifica Restaurant and Cascades Lounge, a special Kidney Smart Table d’Hote menu will be offered for lunch and dinner.
A Kidney Smart meal supports good kidney and heart health for people who do not currently have kidney disease, and the campaign is designed to raise general awareness about reducing the risk for developing kidney disease.
Menu will include:
♠ White Asparagus Soup laced with chive cream
Choice of Main Course
♠ Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin, 4 oz.
with wild rice blinis & green onion, cauliflower purée
♠ Pan Seared Arctic Char
wilted baby spinach, yuzu infused quinoa & red pepper coulis
♠ Natural Sweetened Raspberry and Green Apple Sorbet
garnished with a vacherin meringue twig, fresh berries
