Gigapan Photo from the Pan Pacific Vancouver
These past couple of weeks of Summer in Vancouver have been quite the treat. When the weather is this good, it’s hard to find a city more naturally beautiful than Vancouver.
To show off a beautiful view of our city- I invited photographer John Biehler up to the roof of the Pan Pacific Vancouver to test out the wheels on his cool new Gigapan device. Gigapans are gigapixel panoramas – digital images with billions of pixels. They are massive panoramas with fascinating detail, all captured in the context of a single brilliant photo.
Here’s a look at the Gigapan John put together below. You can see Stanley Park, North Vancouver and the Coastal Mountains. Be sure to zoom in for SUPER-detail. (You can even see people walking along the sea walk!).
Tell us what you think of the Gigapan below! Where would you like to see a Gigapan shot taken in Vancouver?
