Promotion: Try Four Award-Winning Oyster Bay Wines

For the month of April, the Pan Pacific Vancouver is excited to offer its Oyster Bay collection of wine at a special discounted rate.

Since its very first vintage, which won gold at the 22nd International Wine & Spirit Competition in London in 1991, Oyster Bay has continued to define the very stature and style of New Zealand wines. The philosophy of Oyster Bay is to produce fine, distinctly regional wines that are elegant and assertive with glorious fruit flavors.

From April 1 – 3, the Café Pacifica and Cascades Lounge will be hosting 4 main features:

Oyster Bay Merlot 2008

Captivating fragrant cherry, berry fruits and black plum, with beautifully integrated spice and alluring fine grained tannins

The Hawke’s Bay wine region is arguably the most exciting find in recent times for the cultivation of merlot in New Zealand.  Ancient alluvial river terraces provide for a superb mix of soils over gravelly, free-draining sub soils, with an abundance of pure river water for irrigation.

With a temperature maritime climate, the vines are warmed by strong clear sunlight during the day and cooled at night by the sea breezes of the Pacific Ocean.  This is the unique environment in which merlot produces its vibrant, fully ripened varietal flavours.  Essentially Oyster Bay Merlot is about elegance and intensity of fruit.  The hero is always freshness of ripe fruit, spice and soft tannins of the palate.

Glass $9.00 ½ Litre $41.00 Bottle $59.00

Oyster Bay Chardonnay 2008

Bright citrus with hints of stonefruit, stunning fruit concentration accentuated with a creamy texture and sublime zesty undertones

Oyster Bay Marlborough Chardonnay truly captures the character of Marlborough with pure, incisive, ripe fruit flavours.  A combination of barrel and tank fermentation and the stirring of yeast lees achieves maximum softness, integration and texture.  A sublime expression of fruit from Marlborough’s unique cool climate and soils.

Glass $9.00 ½ Litre $31.00 Bottle $45.00
